This one now works on my samsung innov8;)

2 Al Chou // May 10, 2009 at 06:53

Still getting whole-device freeze and Twibble crash via uncaught exception on BlackBerry Pearl 8110. :)

3 thilo // May 10, 2009 at 09:51

@Al Chou, sorry but you need BB OS 4.5 or newer to run twibble.

4 miceno // May 10, 2009 at 20:35

It is taking a hard time to run it in my N96. Sometimes it loads, but some other times, it closes silently. It is easier to use slandr or dabr than twibble ;(

5 thilo // May 10, 2009 at 23:17

@miceno strange as twibble seems to run on most Nokias fine. Some things to check (assuming you run Version 0.9.12):
-Make sure you have the latest firmware for the N96
-try to enter https://twitter.com in Options-Server API root
-switch avatars off (options)
-raise the log level to ‘info’ and check the twibble log
-do you run other apps simultaneoulsy?
-is there a difference depending on the network you use (wifi, edge, etc)?

I’m on a Curve 8330 with OS 4.5.0.138 and Twibble freezes my phone as well when I have the avatars turned on. Without them, Twibble flies and is orders of magnitude faster than either TinyTwitter, TwitterBerry or UberTwitter. Without avatars, Twibble’s speed has kept getting better and better in the last 3 releases.

7 thilo // May 11, 2009 at 20:14

@pixelyzed strange, on most phones avatar pics display fine with Version 0.9.12. If you find out what the prob might pls let me know! Perhaps you’ll find smth in the log (set log level to info)

all working fine on my N95 – thx a lot !!!

9 marcelo // May 12, 2009 at 02:31

I have a Nokia N95 8GB from March ’09. I install the application but when I want to open nothing happens. Any guess?

10 The Changing Man // May 12, 2009 at 09:03

On my N82 I no longer have the option to send via SMS. Is that deliberate? Thanks.

11 conordjpc // May 12, 2009 at 13:44

@marcelo I had that problem on same phone but a reinstall fixed it straight away. server API fixed the rate limit exceeded for me too. Thanks for a great client

12 marcelo // May 12, 2009 at 14:38

Conordjpc: thank you for the feedback. When I have the problem I reinstall the application, but I don’t know why the newer Twibble releases has the same problem.

13 pixelyzed // May 12, 2009 at 18:59

@thilo I set the log level to info. Where might I find the log file?

14 thilo // May 12, 2009 at 19:32

@pixelyzed below the ‘More’ menu (or press ’9′)

15 spooky // May 13, 2009 at 11:20

Still unable to use on E71 – data rate exceeded and unable to send twitters

16 Ahnlak // May 13, 2009 at 11:26

Looks like this version has cleared up nearly all my problems – thanks! Now if I can *just* get it to understand daylight savings and stop saying that tweet are all one hour too old… :)

17 antony // May 13, 2009 at 17:52

the past 5 versions haven’t worked over 3G on nokia e71, please fix! :|

18 thilo // May 13, 2009 at 17:55

@spooky @antony you probably need to set Options->Server API root to https://twitter.com

19 Adrian // May 13, 2009 at 22:50

I love it. I just installed it on my Nokia E71, works like a charm! Thank you guys.

20 Ronaldo // May 14, 2009 at 15:47

It corrected some things that annoyed me in the previous version I had. Like it’s faster now and when you hit ‘UP’ in the first menu item, it select the last menu item. But when I let it open to check twitts every 10min, it shows me a box to select the network I want every sync. On the last version I had it was automatic. This way, use “vibrate when receive replies” options get almost useless since I’m need to “confirm” the sync.

21 ronaldo // May 14, 2009 at 15:50

Other thing I missed is the highlighted @replies in the main timeline.

22 Martin Campbell // May 14, 2009 at 22:52

If Options > Server API root is blank, then Links > Timeline of works.
If Options > Server API root is either http://twitter.com or https://twitter.com, then Links > Timeline of fails.
Should be fairly easy to reproduce and fix.

23 Merika // May 15, 2009 at 16:33

Hello, I upgraded to 0.9.12 but my Nokia N95 still won’t vibrate when there is a new tweet. I also get “Rate Exceed” error often…

25 RRojasFX // May 18, 2009 at 08:23

Ahora permite elegir dónde subir las fotos (Twitpic o Moby) Excelente!!!
Además tiene muchas más opciones en el menú ;)

Gracias y buen trabajo!

Twibble is really getting better and better.

There are two things I am missing. They are probably impossible to do, because of the java sandbox restrictions. I’ll mention them anyway:
- I would love to open links from tweets in OperaMini, instead of the bad system browser on my mobile.
- Twibble should be able to access the latest URL from OperaMini’s browsing history, shorten and tweet it. So we could post interesting links we come across…

27 The Exit // May 21, 2009 at 21:47

28 Emil // May 22, 2009 at 16:42

Done this. Installed, but had to configure an APN. Done that. Error I now get is “malformed address.” Any ideas?

29 The Exit // May 24, 2009 at 15:35

Mein Problem bleibt mit der Version 0.9.14 weiterhin bestehen. Wenn es nicht auftritt, stürzt Twibble sofort nach dem Start ab (Programm wird geschlossen). Ich verwende ein N79.

@PB have you tried to switch off the confirmation dialogs: http://www.twibble.de/2009/05/23/setup-hints-for-twibble-mobile/ ?
