Still a problem with the timestamp when using it on a Sony Ericsson phone. All tweets from the last twenty-four hours still say “(Just now).”

@Gavin are your timezone/DST settings correct?

@ufly you probably need to upgrade your BB to OS 4.5. 4.2 won’t run, I’m afraid

Tnx! Load

I don’t use APN on my Blackberry since my carrier charges me a lot for that.
Is there any way to get Twibble working over a BIS connection?

This version appears to fix a problem with the timestamp on Nokia N95. Thanks!

It’s very unstable on my Nokia N96
10 thilo // May 4, 2009 at 18:47
@Bas do you have the latest N96 firmware? Are you using WiFi or mobile network?
11 Peter // May 4, 2009 at 21:38
Twibble works great on my Nokia E90 using wifi or mobile network.

Links > Timeline of, Links > Follow @ and Links > Search for @ still contain illegal characters after the end of the twitter name.

First load of tweets works without problems. Every other action, reload tweets or post a tweet fails with “[error] TimelineLoader run: failed to open a connection” – older versions than 0.9.11 (and the one before) worked fine. phone is an motorola e770
14 Ahnlak // May 5, 2009 at 13:05
Same problem as Chaosblog – failed to open a connection after the first load. Also everything is showing up as 1 hour older than it should (i.e. new tweets show as “60 minutes ago”). Still, when it works, MUCH faster
15 thilo // May 5, 2009 at 13:28
@Chaosblog @Ahnlak strange, what phone/firmware/carrier do you use? Is there smth in the log (pls set Options->log level to ‘info’)

TimelineLoader run: starting… (repeated 3 times)
TimelineLoader run: failed to open a connection
TimelineLoader stop: closing HTTP connection
TimelineLoader stop: failed to close a connection
TimelineLoader run HTTP response received: OK
TimelineLoader readHTTPResponse Content-Length: 2
TimelineLoader stop: closing HTTP connection
I’m on an INQ1 (uk carrier Three)
Other apps seem fine, and twibble only started with this error with v11.

TimelineLoader readHTTPResponse Content-Length: 2
TimelineLoader stop: closing HTTP connection

other apps with online-connection (like opera) are working fine.

It is very unstable in my N96, it does not even load ;(
20 thilo // May 7, 2009 at 12:00
@Ahnlak @chaosblog is it any different when you use wifi/GPRS? Or if you use https://twitter.com in Option->Server API root?
21 thilo // May 7, 2009 at 12:02
@miceno do you have the latest firmware? Did you try a clean install (remove old twibble installations first)?
22 squaremagazinr // May 7, 2009 at 12:38
keep getting a unhandled exception, and asking to close. using an n95, can anyone help?
23 Chaosblog // May 7, 2009 at 14:35
i have no wifi on the mobiles. using gprs causes the same log-output and it’s unusable too.
24 Bas // May 7, 2009 at 14:57
@thilo: I am using the latest firmware and use mobile network

Love twibble and thanks for making it free.
I have one legitimite criticism though.
The second most common task for me it open a shortened url in the mobile browser. On my last count it took me 14 button clicks to scroll throught the menu and open the URL!
Have I missed a shortcut here? This action could be done with a single button click if designed properly…

i want download twibble mobile
27 thilo // May 9, 2009 at 13:07
@Ahnlak @chaosblog thx again for your tests. Maybe Version 0.9.12 will run better on your phone (although I couldn’t test, I’m afraid).
28 Gavin Cruickshank // May 11, 2009 at 19:36
Thilo, thanks for your advice last week.
I discovered I had an out-of-date version but an update solved the problem.

30 rick // Jul 21, 2009 at 06:56
works great on nokia 5310 how ever my timestamps are off about an hour
31 @lauraplenzik // Aug 2, 2009 at 15:22
same problem as rick, why can’t I see the newest posts? always get 1 hour delay. Also on nokia 5310
