changes in twibble clients

As most of you know there are new versions of twibble desktop and twibble mobile. The older versions were accessing the twibble server (via api.twibble.de). The new twibble clients will access twitter (or identi.ca) directly with no twibble server in between. If you are still using an older twibble version you will see a message to update as we will shut down the twibble server for the older clients soon.

You should list the newest version numbers here

And that is so great, that one can now use ANY Laconica server in the world with Twibble! Finally, I can use my own Laconica installation with it! Thanks guys, great work! =:-)

using Blackberry Curve 8100 (?). Twibble was working nicely but your message to upgrade prompted me to download 0.9.8 It produces this message: Error starting twibble: Module ‘twibble’ has verification error 2863 at offset ad33. I removed the old version, cleared cache and still this result. I found Twibble very useful so hope I may upload a working version soon. Thank you, Toby

I am on a Blackberry Pearl 8100 and am also having the above error that Toby mentions. Everything was working fine before the upgrade.

Nokia E71 now just gives ‘rate limit exceeded’ message – it is now completely useless, how can I download the previous version again?

i am getting the same error as toby, on a bb curve 8130.

Just a bit of feedback re twibble 0.9.8 (on my N95)
1. Firstly, the speed of the new version is awesome
2. The “Hide” button on the right soft key is much better than having to use “8″
3. A critisism; the menu (left soft key) takes ages to load (approx 1 – 1.5 seconds)
4. Feature request; The ability to use twibble to compress urls in tweets (using tinyurl of similar)

e71 running 0.9.8 does not work – rate limit exceeded – now cannot use at all
How to get older versions?

@scott L, @jgbiggs, @Toby what OS are you running on your BB?

Twibble stops updating my timelines. I miss the “Reload Tweets” option.
Great redesign, but lack of perfomance.

Similar experienct to Toby on a BlackBerry 8830: Module ‘twibble’ has verification error 2863 at offset ad33.

Really only choice – remove Twibble.

Blackberry model 8300 v4.2.2.89 (Platform 2.4.0.39) Blackberry 4.2 system software. Hope that helps .. I really miss Twibble on my phone. Thanks.

@Toby thx for letting me know! Is there any chance you can upgrade to the latest version (https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/browseSoftware.do) and check if it works?

16 thilo // Apr 26, 2009 at 22:35

@Eduardo Palacios reload is on ‘*’ or ‘u’ on qwerty. What phone do you have?

17 Mac K // Apr 29, 2009 at 20:06

No! Old version worked great on my BB Curve. I upgraded to the new version and now it won’t even launch! I get “Module Twibble has verification error 2863 at offset ae9b.” Now what???

18 Toby // May 1, 2009 at 04:15

@thilo it took so long to upgrade BB to OS 4.5 that by the time it was done, v0.9.10 was available. It installed and runs. Thank you, Toby

Hello, I’m running version 0.9.12 on Nokia N95 and always get “Rate Limits Exceed” error. I set it to check every “1″ minute. Do I have to change this number?
