twibble mobile and identi.ca

just in case you don’t know the current version of twibble mobile has some preliminary support for the microblogging platform identi.ca as well. Just enter your identi.ca user name with the prefix ‘i ‘ (like in ‘i twibble’) in the username field of the twibble Options dialog. You should be able to use all major identi.ca functions (dm, @reply, etc.). Other options available in combination with twitter (like twitpic) may not work, however.

Well, identi.ca support is nice and all, but…

Since identi.ca is just one node of the big laconi.ca network, it might be a good idea to support choosing the server your on. This could be done by a separate field to enter the host, or by extracting it from the UID, (e.g. http://bleeper.de/foobar or http://identi.ca/venty).

I agree with Venty. Are you planning to add support for Laconica in future releases?

I would be willing to pay for laconia.ca support. That is exactly what I need!

Great feature, now if you could do a dual account setup a twitter and an identi.ca like it looks in Desktop version of Twibble we would be golden, maybe even a triple account handling, then you guys would rule, I’m sure you guys know about Gravity already and they are planning multi-login support but I really like the combination you guys provide, mobile and desktop, throw in some small images and the mobile application will reign supreme, are you actively working on another release like your desktop version. I just made a blog post over at the http://www.thenokiablog.com and I mentioned your application, hope you guys like what I said.
