Just downloaded this app. seems to be working fine, but a reply option in the menu would be nice to see. How else is ti done with this? Good start, but it needs some work.

twibble for blackberry
The latest twibble mobile 0.8.3 now runs on Blackberry devices as well. At least if you have a recent device like the 8800 or 8120. It supports all the features like twitpic integration, maps, and even GPS (if you have a fancy GPS enabled BB). Please bear with us if it’s still a bit rough around the edges. Thanks to @mcdent for the testing!
0.8.3 has some other improvements which apply to all devices: @replies and direct messages are displayed in different colors, the main menu has been better organized and should display faster. In addition to the numeric shortcuts there are some keyboard shortcuts for QWERTY keyboards:
- [t] opens the tweet dialog
- [r] for @reply
- [d] for a direct message
- space fetches new tweets
And finally due to a new twitter API extension @replies are now properly linked to the related tweet. To install point your phone browser to http://m.twibble.de and follow the instructions.

@kerri in your tweet list select a tweet you want to reply to and simply press ‘r’ if you are on a qwerty keyboard, ‘2′ on a numeric keyboard.
Or in the main menu there is a submenu twitter with all common twitter functions like reply, direct message, re-tweet, add favorite, etc.

If it’s for a Blackberry, it should use BIS or BES, not GPRS or 3G.

@pmb don’t quite understand. BIS and BES are BB servers, GPRS and 3G communication standards. twibble is completely independent of both and needs a TCP connection only.

I recently tried to install this program to my blackberry curve, and the application installed okay, but when I tried to log in, it kept saying “invalid tunnel name”. Help?

Hi guys. Looks interesting but keep getting hung up when it asks me for “key store password.” Seems like BB issue, but don’t know what password is or how to get. Any ideas?

My network charges for APN access but I get unlimited data via BIS. As a result I wont use this twitter client.
